Bill & Peggy Fitzhugh

After many successful years as a business-professional and entrepreneur, Bill Fitzhugh committed to follow Christ in a Kiwanas Club meeting. Bill and Peggy Fitzhugh answered the call of God to become pastors in 1976. After pastoring Oden Baptist Church (Oden, AR) and beginning New Life Baptist Church (Pine Bluff, AR), the Fitzhughs began traveling and ministering as evangelists at revivals across the US, even traveling internationally. Eventually, the Fitzhughs heeded God’s call on their lives to return to Pine Bluff, AR and begin a life-giving church – so was the beginning of Family Church (then known as Family Life Community Baptist Church).

Since beginning FC in September 1991, Bill and Peggy have seen the church grow from one home group meeting weekly in their own house with 12 people, to a regular attendance over 1200 people each week. The Fitzhughs have spent years pouring into leaders and pastors, fulfilling the purpose for which they were both called.

Both Bill and Peggy are dynamic speakers, ministering at events throughout the state in addition to continuing to pastor Family Church. Their passion is to make it hard to go to hell in Jefferson County and every county that touches it.

Bill and Peggy have two children and 5 grandchildren.
